Bell & Ross has always experimented with the multiple time-zone watch concepts in many ways. This year, the watchmaker added a handsome square-shaped aviator model to their extensive collection – the Bell & Ross BR 03-93 GMT.
The new BR 03-93 GMT can be considered a rejuvenated edition of the previous BR V2-93 GMT series. However, the difference between the new model and the older version debuted in 2018 lies only in the case shape and the colour combination. Otherwise, the new BR 03-93 bears the same fonts, dial style and movement of its previous sibling.
But the current model is apparently more brutal. The watch may not look versatile in respect to style like the BR V2-93 GMT. Nonetheless, the latest square-shaped version indeed looks sportier and flashier. Keep reading to explore more.

The BR 03-93 GMT watch comes with virtually the same physical dimensions as the circular-shaped models. However, the newest square-shaped edition features a 42mm case diameter and stainless steel bezel. However, the bezel sports an anodised aluminium insert that appears slightly bigger than the case, making it easier to handle.
The dial features large stick hour markers with Superluminova and four Arabic numerals. Pairing with wide sword-shaped hands, the dial looks legible enough.
Bell & Ross fitted the new BR 03-93 with a superior quality calfskin leather strap in matte black colour. Furthermore, it comes with a standard pin buckle. The watchmaker also offers a complimentary synthetic military-style fabric strap with the timepiece. Although it does not look much appealing, the additional strap will be nice when you try a different look for a day.
Every brand cannot afford to produce its movements. So many independent watchmakers sourced primarily the ETA calibres for decades. However, the Swatch Group brought an end to it nearly ten years before.
Sellita was one of the first manufacturers who produced the Sellita SW200 that replaced the iconic three-hander ETA 2824. A great alternative to ETA 2893-2 is the GMT-ready SW330-1.
The function is simple and durable, featuring an additional hour hand displaying time in a 24-hour format. It also offers instant adjustments for the GMT hand and the date using the multipurpose crown.
Bell & Ross did not provide any detail on the mechanism of the new BR 03-93 model. However, you can make adjustments also on the lowest-grade Special edition to four positions. And it has +/-15 seconds per day isochronism.
